Left 4 Dead 2 devours Mac gamers today

I think I'll be playing through The Sacrifice on both versions of the game. It's been a while since I've played the first game.

It's funny to note the difference in tone between the "wii would like to play" ads where some guys show up and suddenly it's a party

and the move ads where the sony guy shows up and everyone wants him to leave but he won't

I'll be grabbing the sacrifice when it hits. Hopefully we can get some 4 player co-op going to put it through its paces.

I was explaining L4D2 to my sister who lives in louisiana, because she was going to get it for her husband, and she kept getting angry at me and telling me to stop because it's "too scary"

Seems the patches are going through now on the PC.

Speaking of the PC, you can get either game for $7 or both for $10 since they're running a special and all.

I still laugh that they call it Left 4 Dead GOTY Edition because, I mean, the regular edition comes with everything free as it is. They should make a Team Fortress 2 GOTY Edition too IMO.

It's better than the original Left 4 Dead content, but I don't think it's up there with the Passing one from the second game.

I haven't played it for L4D2 yet but I wonder if it's going to be the same thing as the L4D download - would make absolutely no sense in terms of narrative, loose as it is in those games. Guess we'll see - for some reason my L4D2 update is 11GB, or so says Steam. No wonder it's taking forever.
