Last winter Valve held a 'treasure hunt' and rewarded diligent seekers with 'treasure hats'. Those who bought dozens of new games, and spent hours playing them, received 100% more octopus on their hats than those of us who were poorer and Irisher. Then in the spring, they let us earn virtual potatoes to help boot up GLaDOS faster. (The result? Portal 2 was released on steam like an hour early.)
When summer arrived, Valve unveiled their biggest event yet. Their summer camp event rewarded happy campers with DLC from a whole range of different games.
