Thinkgeek announces yet another iCade controller

At this year’s CES, ThinkGeek announced two new iCade controllers, but already they’re at it again with a third iCade controller for 2012: the 8-Bitty.

Where the most comprable of the iCade lineup, the iCade Mobile, was sort of bulky and pricy to boot, the 8-Bitty is the size of an NES/Famicom gamepad and will run $25 when it comes out. Much like the iCade Mobile, the 8-Bitty features a four-way d-pad, four face buttons, two shoulder buttons and dedicated start/select buttons. It connects via Bluetooth and runs off two AAA batteries.

It looks sort of dumb, but if it can do just what it says and is easy to tote around, maybe it will be the portable gamepad of our dreams.

What do you think? Could you use a gamepad for your iOS or Android device? Let us know in the comments!

I'm pretty sure I don't need this, but I will be the first to admit it would make playing some games a HECK of a lot easier.

$25 is way more reasonable than some of the other gamepad things I've seen for it...although with something as small as an iPod Touch/iPhone I'll admit I'd rather have it sit inside a controller shell of some kind. With this I'd have to prop it up on a desk or something, and that seems a bit awkward.
