Could this be a sign of Half-Life 3?

Lately rumors have been swirling around that Valve is starting to leak out info that they are indeed working on the next chapter in the acclaimed Half-Life series. In Valve’s hometown of Seattle, Valve crew members have reportedly been spotted with Half-Life 3 t-shirts, and there are of course the everpresent ‘unofficial’ mutterings.

But now we have this website, black-aperture.com, featuring the same rumored Half-Life 3 logo seen on the shirts, and a cryptic message reading “Status: Mark 7.”

Clicking the logo takes you to the page where you can purchase the Orange Box, which isn’t any kind of confirmation on its own. What’s interesting is that the WHOIS data for the black-aperture.com domain is completely anonymized. Naturally, anybody can do this, but it seems a little spendy for a hoax, doesn’t it?

Take a look, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Most people think they are done with the episodic releases and the next one will just be called Half-Life 3.

I think Valve is among the everyone in the world group who realized that Valve sucks at episodic content. The way they make games just doesn't fit with that style of distribution, and hopefully they've given up on it and are working on a full game with Half Life 3, because if we have to wait six fucking years just to get a five hour episode that 'finishes up Half Life 2', I imagine people are going to be understandably pissed.

Yeah, I think if, and this is a bit if, Valve was to be working on this for real this time, it will just be Half Life 3. If they call it Half Life 2: Episode 3, it would be a cruel joke to think it took six years to complete an three arc episode of content. Telltale could release a million episodes in that span of time the way they are cranking out content. Of course, Jurassic Park and the last few things they have worked on have been less than stellar, so maybe there is something to this six year timeframe for episodes.
