Word on the street is that Sony Computer Entertainment is developing their own take on the party brawler that has become a Nintendo staple.
Tenatively named Title Fight, the project is reportedly in the hands of SuperBot Entertainment, and features several first-party Sony Computer Entertainment characters duking it out in a fighting game. In the original report on the Paul Gale Network, some of the characters planned include Uncharted‘s Nathan Drake, Twisted Metal‘s Sweet Tooth, Killzone‘s Colonel Radec, God of War‘s Kratos, the eponymous Fat Princess, Sly Cooper and Parappa the Rappa. On top of those characters, it’s rumored that superspy James Bond will make an appearance, in a bit of cross-promotion between Sony and MGM Studios regarding the next upcoming Bond film. which will release reportedly around the same time as this game.
Beyond that, Smash Bros. has seen Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog make their way into the game, as great marketing. Who’s to say characters like Cloud Strife or Spyro – who aren’t necessarily Sony characters per se, but sure got their launch on the PlayStation – might find room in there?
Who would you like to see in a Sony fighting game? Let us know in the comments, and of course, more information on this story as it develops.
