Freebie Friday: Midgard Android edition

Hey there cheapskates, it’s time for another edition of Freebie Friday! This one goes out to all the Android users in the audience.

Have you been saying to yourself, “Self, I sure could use a fun action RPG for my Android-based handheld device?” Well, talk to yourself no longer, because Gamevil is coming to your rescue. Also, talking to yourself excessively is kind of weird, you should probably check that out.

But to Gamevil’s point, the latest installment in their Zenonia series is available today on the Android Market for the low price of free! Zenonia 3: The Midgard Story is a pretty thick game. With sixteen classes, 200 maps and 137 quests, Zenonia 3 is a game that’s going to take you awhile.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t include this caveat on the game. It does include in-app purchasing, but the way it works is this – every player gets 5000 zen points. When they’re gone, they’re gone, unless you purchase more. Dying in this game, inflicts status penalties that are permanent like receiving less gold per monster and decreased weapon durability, unless you spend zen points to remove them.

Kind of  a moneygrubbing tactic, but it’s a way of forcing you to grind and then grind some more, as Korean RPGs tend to push.

But hey, if you’re on Android, how many good games do you have on your phone anyway? Get it while the getting’s good, cheapskate.
