TF2 gets new soldier updates

[UPDATED] In today’s portion of the Ûber Ubdate for Valve’s Team Fortress 2, gamers are treated to two new sets of upgrades to the soldier class.

One set includes a pair of boots to reduce knockback and increase damage if you fall on someone, and a riding crop that increases both the players’ and an ally’s speed for several seconds, if you hit them with it, at the cost of reduced damage dealt. In the other set, there’s a new rocket launcher that shoots faster rockets, but holds less of them, a shotgun that switches weapons faster and mini-crits airborne targets for three seconds after arming it but holds fewer shells, and a shovel that crits enemies while in mid-air post-rocket jump.

Do any of those toys interest you? Let us know in the comments!

UPDATE: Looks like the Pyro is getting a new weapon too, in the form of a flare gun with an alt-fire that causes the flare to detonate… explosively.
