Today Mojang released a new update to their lego simulator, Minecraft, by putting out version 1.7.
The update includes an all-new piston mechanism, which will help players create even more intricate machines. The update also features a new danger from the otherwise benign sheep, as hinted at by creator Markus Persson’s Twitter account, warning players not to right-click sheep with an empty hand.
We’ll wait while you all run out and try exactly that.

I've been playing with pistons a little bit earlier today. Seems neat so far. I was hoping a piston could launch you or a mob into the air, but alas, it does not.
Honestly, that's all I got for this. Apparently the next update is "a ways away" but it actually brings more of an RPG component to the game. Which is good?
I have trouble imagining a use for pistons. Maybe you could make some kind of hydraulic press or something? I don't know what that would do in this game.

Pistons are fun! can be used for certain context specific tasks.
