Adult Swim’s game portal has borne some regularly potent fruit over the years, many of which have recently gone on to perform on other platforms, notably iPhone and iPad.
The latest of which, and a local forum favorite, Robot Unicorn Attack, will be arriving on the App Store in June. The Canabalt-style gameplay with a maddeningly saccharine (with a twist) backdrop and Erasure’s “Always” for a soundtrack combines to form a ridiculous, but hilarious experience that’s worth checking out.
For those who haven’t yet given the game a whirl, players control a robot unicorn and have three lives to rack up a high score by collecting butterflies and jet-dashing through crystal stars.
Not that there’s any good excuse for not having tried the game yet. If you haven’t – head over to Adult Swim’s games page and try Robot Unicorn Attack. Be sure to play it somewhere you can take advantage of sound as well, before firing it up. We promise it’s worth it.

That almost makes me want to buy an iPhone.
