Today Variant Game Studios announced their new game, Legends of Phantastica: The Clockwork Tower for the iPhone and iPad – noting as well that the game will be one of the first games to be developed with a native version for the new iPad.
The game is a dungeon crawler in the vein of the classics like Nethack and Rogue, but offering concessions to less hardcore players to make the game accessible, like save points and varying difficulty levels. However, experienced players will be pleased to know that both in the Main Quest mode, the highest difficulty will offer a more than real challenge, and the never-ending (and aptly-named) Infinite Mode will let players delve dungeons to their heart’s contents.
Screen shots and more details will come in the following weeks leading up to the game’s release in May.

After a few hours I realize that sounds alarming, but it's actually not that weird. Dustin and I currently have ownership of the VU, and we are making the game in question. Sorry I didn't clarify that but I suppose it's weird to have it in the story post. So anyway there you have it.
We'll definitely have some giveaway codes for VU members. =)
I'm looking forward to checking it out Chris!
dude, that's awesome. keep us posted!
Just now saw this thread. Would love a code when you get this released. Sounds awesome.
