During a Q & A session last week at the San Francisco Apple Store to celebrate the launch of Street Fighter IV for the iPhone, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono talked about his dreams for future projects.
His first response was that he would take his wife to Disneyland.
After that though, the Street Fighter IV producer explained that a new Darkstalkers would be a game right up his alley, a series that had started shortly after he started at the company. He later told blog Kotaku that it’d likely require its own engine, but if he could have the resources and permission, he “would love to make a new Darkstalkers more than anything.”
“First of all I want to take a break for a little while,” Ono said. “I’ve been doing these for awhile. After that I think that the atmosphere around the company is such that it might be time to take a chill pill on the upgrades for a little bit and try to branch out see what else I can do.”
