Muscle March is the newest insanity to find its way out of Japan. This WiiWare title that arrived in the NA store on January 18th puts you in the muscle-bound shoes of a body builder (or polar bear) and tasks you and up to three friends with chasing down the man (or tele-tubby) who stole your myoplex.
As the thief escapes, he busts through a series of walls and other objects looney-tunes style, leaving a muscle-man shaped hole that you must then pass through. Gameplay consists mainly of moving your arms (holding a wiimote and nunchuck) to match the pose needed to pass through such holes, with your friends following behind. Think of it like an on-rails racing game crossed with the Japanese game show Hole in the Wall.
While Muscle March doesn’t include online play or even leaderboards, it does include a Time Attack mode, wherein your speed increases with each obstacle passed, as you chase a tele-tubby up a spiraling rainbow. Thank you, Namco, you have just made this poor man’s dreams come true.
Move over Mario, Link and Samus, the Wii has a new killer app.
