Muscle March marches to US shores, terrifies small children

tony: everyone's leader (also, leader of my heart)

Muscle March is the newest insanity to find its way out of Japan. This WiiWare title that arrived in the NA store on January 18th puts you in the muscle-bound shoes of a body builder (or polar bear) and tasks you and up to three friends with chasing down the man (or tele-tubby) who stole your myoplex.

pose, pose revolutionAs the thief escapes, he busts through a series of walls and other objects looney-tunes style, leaving a muscle-man shaped hole that you must then pass through. Gameplay consists mainly of moving your arms (holding a wiimote and nunchuck) to match the pose needed to pass through such holes, with your friends following behind. Think of it like an on-rails racing game crossed with the Japanese game show Hole in the Wall.

While Muscle March doesn’t include online play or even leaderboards, it does include a Time Attack mode, wherein your speed increases with each obstacle passed, as you chase a tele-tubby up a spiraling rainbow. Thank you, Namco, you have just made this poor man’s dreams come true.

Move over Mario, Link and Samus, the Wii has a new killer app.

Thanks to forum member Gemini_Red for pointing out this delightfully unexpected occurance.
