With the coming PlayStation 3 update, gamers will have the ability to play their PSPminis on the PS3, as well as transfer data between two PS3 consoles via a LAN cable.
To date, PSP games have been playable on the big screen via the appropriate cables, but this obviates the need for those.
Firmware 3.15 will be released on December 17.

They might as well make downloadable PSP games playable on the PS3 now. Sales of the PSP are already so bad they might make up some ground by selling more games to PS3 owners.
