ECA membership has its privileges

Announced at Game Developers’ Conference this past week, Entertainment Consumers Association Hal Halpin announced that membership in the organization now gets you 10% off of games at Amazon.com.

The $20 membership fee helps to fund the ECA’s advocacy issues, as they work to improve such things as DRM and basically act as a gamers’ lobby.

Looking into it, the VU found that ECA membership nets other discounts as well.

“If you buy three games or so a year through Amazon, your ECA membership is basically free,” Halpin told Ars Technica last week.

Did you know about this previously? Or are you an ECA member? Let us know in the comments if you’ve made use of the benefits!
